The Director of Development and Public Relations

Our 100cameras team is comprised of proactive individuals with creative, entrepreneurial minds for non-profit strategizing, managing, planning, and problem solving. Working together, we combine our unique skill sets to not only think outside the box, but to effectively utilize available resources to help grow the organization. 

The specific role of the Director of Development and Public Relations is to escalate these dynamics by focusing full-time on multiplying the outreach of the organization through initiating and maintaining relationships with corporate sponsors, existing and new donors, and by expanding our team and volunteers.

The goal of this position is to enhance the 100cameras mission and multiply our capabilities by:

  • Making it possible hire more employees through institutional and individual donor fundraising
    • To extend the impact of the mission by partnering with more organizations & implementing projects to benefit more children
    • To host more events to continue to spread awareness and raise money for our partners.
  • Raising awareness through public relation efforts
  • Managing day to day organizational needs to ensure consistent operations

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct new organizational development; prospect and recruit corporate sponsorships for media, administrative and event-specific needs; grow existing sponsorships and donor relationship
  2. Direct all PR initiatives, including, but not limited to, print and online publications, newsletters, podcast, and all online communications; internet campaigns via social media, blogs and websites
  3. Manage all external communications with press. Pursue new opportunities to publicize the organization, maintain relationships with past opportunities, respond to all inquiries
  4. Serve as Secretary for Board of Directors and Executive Committee
  5. Serve as main point-of-contact for 100cameras, including, but not limited to, daily communications – manage yes@100cameras.org
  6. Manage team of 5 interns
  7. Generate proposals, presentations and supporting documents in response to solicitations
  8. Identify and spearhead new funding opportunities, such as event fundraising opportunities
  9. Conduct general organizational development; research possible grants from corporations & foundations; generate well-researched, well-written and well-documented grant proposals
  10. Pursue product and service sponsorships, including sponsorships for media, administrative and event-specific needs; maintain relationship between 100cameras and sponsor
  11. Pursue new major donors and grow existing sponsorships and donor relationships
  12. Maintain and implement 100cameras calendar activities
