In 2009, 100cameras partnered with New Life of NYC, an inner-city community center that focuses on improving a kid’s education and plugging them into an extra-curricular activity that encourages character development. Its target is the many students on the Lower East Side that lag significantly in both reading and writing. 100cameras funds educational tools for the 40+ youth that participate daily in the Afterschool Learning Center at New Life of NYC.
To date, the sale of the kid’s photography has raised $3,000 and funded the purchase of computers, providing over 53,000 computer study hours annually to help improve youth education in their Learning Center.

VSCO Curated Gallery (11)
We are excited to release a new gallery curated by the team at Visual Supply Co (VSCO). In support of the 100cameras mission, VSCO reviewed the complete portfolios for each child from Project002 and selected a cohesive collection of images to feature for purchase on the 100cameras website. Applying classic VSCO film to these images, the final images are visually striking. VSCO's unique perspective connects the viewer with previous 100cameras projects in a new and exciting way. -

In the next five years, she wants to attend college in California and major in Math. Danna likes photography because it is her best way to express herself.

Joey likes photography because two people could take a picture of the same thing, but it could have two different meanings.
